What to Expect
At Tropicana Animal Hospital, our goal is to provide compassionate and quality care for your pets. We are open 7 days a week and appointments are not needed as we are a walk-in animal hospital. Click here to download the new patient form. If you have any records from your previous veterinary hospital, including medications they take, we ask that you bring them in at your next visit.
If you or your pet has any special needs for your safety or comfort, please let our staff know when checking in so we can make every effort to accommodate you.
When you arrive, you can call to check in curbside (702) 736-4944, or walk in. Our hospital has separate entrances for cats and dogs. If it is an emergency, please let our staff know so your pet will get emergent medical assistance. Pets are seen on a first come first serve basis, so you may experience wait time.
Currently, our hospital has 7 exam rooms and we have doctors available as early as 6am Monday-Sunday.
Monday-Sunday 6am - 11pm
For after hour emergencies, please call the Animal Emergency Center of Las Vegas and Henderson (702) 457-8050. They are located at 3340 E. Patrick Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89120.
When it is time to see the veterinarian, one of our staff members will check your pet’s weight and place you into an exam room. They will discuss the nature of your visit. The veterinarian will access your pet while in the room. This is a great time to bring up any questions or concerns you may have. This includes any changes in diet, behavior or any problems our pet may be having at home. Your pet’s doctor will discuss the results of your pet’s exam as well as going over any recommendations for the next step. This may include vaccines, screening tests, X-rays, medications or other options that are best suited to your pet. Many screening tests can be done at the hospital, while others may need to be sent out for additional testing. Any prescribed medications will be explained as well as any in-hour or home treatment plans. A member of our staff will go over your charges, process your payment, and you’re your pet family out to the car if needed. If you need any medication refills, pet food, treats, or other pet related items, please let a staff member know so we can get that ready for you at check out.
